If you looking for a dinner to consume instead of a dinner event that will consume you and your time, then Feenie’s is a very convenient and more-than-worthy alternative to its renowned counterpart Lumiere. Same chef, different food- and at a lower, although certainly not cheap, price.
Feenie’s presents the cuisine of Rob Feenie -a Canadian culinary celebrity- in a casual bistro setting. The dining room’s design is bright, fresh and very hip, with comfortable, spacious table placements and one hell of a fuzzy light fixture that’s reminiscent of a pink sea anemone. The adjacent bar requires no reservations, and accommodates the individual with good taste and a light(er) wallet.
The menu represents an interesting mix of bistro fare with some international and very Canadian influences. My group really enjoyed the food, and we were impressed at the menu’s diversity and originality. None of us were inclined to order “Feenie’s Weenie” a cheese sausage with ample adornments, but we totally appreciated the irresistibleness of the rhyme.
